About this role
Fluidstack seeks a Data Center Production Operations Engineer to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot server and network hardware at massive scale while supporting 24/7 operations during rapid infrastructure expansion. You'll own critical systems spanning hardware installation, incident response, and escalation support in a fast-paced environment where operational excellence directly impacts AI infrastructure deployment.
What you'll do
- Install, deploy, and configure server and network hardware; manage asset records and component replacements
- Work rotating shifts and on-call rotations to maintain 24/7 SLAs and resolve production tickets
- Troubleshoot hardware issues at component level (POST, BIOS, IPMI, BMC) and diagnose network faults
- Act as first responder for on-site incidents and coordinate with engineering SMEs for complex escalations
- Support network cabling diagnosis, replacement, and structured cabling initiatives
- Build relationships with customers, internal teams, and vendors while providing operational support

- Server hardware deployment and troubleshooting (BIOS, PXE, IPMI, BMC, component-level repair)
- Network protocols and diagnostics (TCP/IP, Ethernet, physical-layer fault identification)
- Linux administration and ticket management under SLA constraints
- On-call and shift-work readiness with team leadership capability
- Network hardware knowledge (switches, routers, copper/fiber cabling)
- Python or Bash scripting (bonus)
- GPU server fleet experience (bonus)
- Hyperscale or high-density AI infrastructure familiarity (bonus)
