PKI Engineer / Certificate Management Specialist

About this role

Makpar seeks a PKI Engineer / Certificate Management Specialist to manage public key infrastructure and digital certificate operations for Federal government clients. This remote, US-based role combines technical expertise in cryptography and certificate lifecycle management with consulting-oriented problem-solving to support critical government IT security initiatives.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain PKI infrastructure and certificate management systems
• Manage digital certificate lifecycle including issuance, renewal, and revocation
• Troubleshoot and resolve certificate-related authentication and encryption issues
• Collaborate with Federal clients to assess PKI requirements and recommend solutions
• Monitor PKI systems for security vulnerabilities and compliance with government standards
• Document procedures and provide technical guidance to stakeholders
