Supplier Quality Engineer, Mechanical
About this role
Fluidstack is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for mechanical equipment to oversee supplier qualification, audits, and quality control for cooling and piping systems at massive data center scale. You'll manage factory acceptance tests, create inspection plans, and drive corrective actions to ensure reliability across the supply chain for AI compute infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Own supplier quality for mechanical equipment including CDUs, chillers, pumps, and piping packages from qualification through delivery
- Conduct supplier audits and production readiness reviews before award, and source inspections before shipment
- Develop inspection and test plans suppliers must follow, including factory acceptance test witness points
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action on quality issues, verifying fixes on supplier floors
- Witness factory acceptance tests and make go/no-go decisions based on test results
- Manage dual-sourcing strategy for critical mechanical equipment to support GW-scale data center buildout

- Liquid cooling equipment familiarity
