Zipline is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to contribute to their innovative drone delivery system. This internship offers a unique opportunity to tackle real-world engineering challenges, from conceptual design to field deployment. You’ll work on cross-functional teams, rapidly prototyping solutions and ensuring reliability through rigorous testing.
What you'll do
- Develop engineering concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product requirements.
- Design and build prototypes using 2D/3D CAD tools.
- Design and execute electro-mechanical tests to validate component reliability.
- Root-cause failures and develop tests to replicate failure modes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Document design decisions and engineering processes.
