About this role

Formlabs seeks a Field Service Engineer to serve as the primary technical contact for 3D printing system customers across North America, traveling 80%+ of the time. You'll handle equipment installation, customer training, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs while managing complex logistics and maintaining detailed documentation.

What you'll do

  • Install, commission, and calibrate 3D printing systems at customer sites
  • Conduct on-site user training on equipment operation, software, and maintenance procedures
  • Perform rapid-response repairs and troubleshooting to resolve electromechanical issues
  • Execute preventative maintenance visits on an annual schedule targeting 90-day service windows
  • Manage independent travel logistics including flights, hotels, and expense reporting
  • Document installations, training sessions, and repairs in Salesforce
