About this role
Formlabs seeks a Field Service Technician to serve as the primary technical contact for 3D printing system installations, training, and repairs across North America. You'll travel 80%+ of the time to customer sites, managing the complete on-site experience from equipment commissioning to preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
What you'll do
- Install, commission, and calibrate 3D printing systems at customer sites
- Conduct structured user training sessions on machinery operation, software, and maintenance
- Perform rapid-response repairs and troubleshooting to resolve electromechanical issues and minimize customer downtime
- Execute preventative maintenance visits on a 90-day schedule for warrantied customers
- Independently manage complex travel logistics and document all activities in Salesforce
- Deliver live product demonstrations to build customer confidence and proficiency
