About this role
Freedom seeks a System Engineer to support modernization and sustainment of 100+ enterprise business systems serving government personnel and partners. You'll work with a collaborative team on Pega Platform applications, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices to automate workflows, secure systems, and improve operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Design and modernize enterprise applications and platforms supporting critical government business functions
- Participate in Agile sprints including planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and iterative development cycles
- Collaborate with software engineers, cloud architects, and DevSecOps specialists on system integration and deployment
- Support sustainment and modernization of legacy systems across multiple secure environments
- Contribute to automation of business processes and integration of commercial technologies
- Help ensure organizational technology capabilities meet workforce and mission requirements
