About this role
Join Freeform's quality team as a CMM Programmer to inspect complex metal 3D printed parts using a Zeiss Contura CMM and Calypso software. You'll execute inspection programs, interpret GD&T requirements, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure precision and quality in our advanced manufacturing facility.
What you'll do
- Operate Zeiss Contura CMM using Calypso software to inspect complex metal 3D printed parts
- Create and execute inspection programs ensuring accurate and consistent measurements
- Interpret GD&T requirements from engineering drawings and identify dimension interpretation issues
- Select and use appropriate gauges and tools to inspect feature tolerances
- Communicate inspection results to engineers and quality leads, flagging potential issues
- Maintain inspection programs, toolkits, records, and support CMM equipment upkeep
