About this role

General Matter seeks an Automation and Controls Engineer to design, build, and commission manufacturing automation systems including robotic material handling, feed lines, and assembly stations. You'll own equipment and processes from concept through deployment, ensuring reliable and repeatable production as the company scales domestic uranium enrichment operations.

  • Design, build, and commission automation test stands and assembly-process equipment
  • Integrate and program automated systems and industrial robots including material-loading robots and feed lines
  • Own equipment and processes from concept through commissioning and operational deployment
  • Ensure systems are reliable, repeatable, and delivered on schedule
  • Support manufacturing team in scaling production capability
  • Troubleshoot and optimize automation systems on the production floor
