About this role
General Matter, a venture-backed nuclear fuel enrichment company, seeks a recent structural engineering graduate to design robust structural systems for industrial and mission-critical facilities. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on heavy-industrial infrastructure projects, applying first-principles engineering to large-scale facilities while contributing to America's nuclear energy infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Support structural design and BIM coordination for industrial facilities, including gravity and lateral load-resisting systems
- Perform structural analysis and calculations for steel and concrete elements, and foundation design under senior guidance
- Design specialized industrial structures including high-seismic bracing, equipment supports, and heavy-loading floor slabs
- Analyze wind, seismic, and snow loads per applicable building codes
- Create and integrate BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD across multidisciplinary teams
- Develop structural specifications, calculation packages, and construction drawings for large-scale projects
