About this role

Glydways seeks a Test and Commissioning Engineer to support the Atlanta autonomous transit pilot, monitoring system operations, executing approved tests, and coordinating with field teams to ensure safe deployment. This one-year contract role requires on-site presence in Atlanta with initial training in Richmond, CA, and involves rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

What you'll do

  • Monitor vehicles, guideway, OCS displays, alarms, communications, cameras, and network status from central control
  • Execute approved integration, acceptance, commissioning, and safety-validation tests; record results and deviations
  • Assess system alerts, provide remote assistance, and execute authorized stop, E-Stop, and recovery actions
  • Coordinate fault diagnosis, system updates, and retesting with CCO Lead, field operations, maintenance, and safety teams
  • Communicate with riders, field personnel, and emergency responders; maintain accurate operational and incident records
  • Perform shift handovers, maintain training qualifications, and escalate recurring faults or operational patterns
