Gotion Inc. seeks an Equipment Engineer to oversee installation, commissioning, and optimization of advanced battery manufacturing equipment at their Illinois facility. You will manage the full lifecycle of production line equipment—from electrode processing through packaging—while ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and continuous improvement in a collaborative, bilingual environment.
What you'll do
- Lead installation, commissioning, and validation of battery manufacturing equipment across electrode, coating, calendaring, stacking, injection, sealing, formation, and packaging processes
- Verify equipment meets process specifications, operational requirements, and safety standards
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders during equipment setup
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency
- Work cross-functionally with production teams and technical experts on optimization and reliability
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for high-tech production lines
