About this role

GovSignals is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and operate infrastructure across commercial cloud, FedRAMP High, and IL5 environments supporting government contracting AI systems. You'll own Kubernetes clusters, networking, security, and deployment pipelines while working directly with the CTO to support customers managing billions in government contracts.

What you'll do

  • Operate Kubernetes clusters, GitOps pipelines, and networking across three deployment environments (commercial cloud, FedRAMP High, IL5)
  • Build secure-by-default infrastructure with hardened images, least-privilege access, and network policies
  • Maintain custom builds of tools like Supabase and Trigger.dev for restricted network environments
  • Create repeatable processes for standing up new environments and managing customer data integrations
  • Support observability, monitoring, and automated remediation for AI-driven contract management systems
  • Own infrastructure in production and provide security control demonstrations to customer teams

  • Infrastructure-as-Code and deployment automation

  • PostgreSQL operations (replication, backups, migrations)
  • TypeScript backend development
  • FedRAMP, Impact Level, or similar compliance frameworks
  • Observability and monitoring systems
