About this role
GuidePoint Security seeks an early-career Associate Cloud Security Engineer to support AWS security consulting engagements, including assessments, architecture reviews, and compliance work. You'll collaborate with senior consultants on client projects while building expertise in cloud-native security controls and best practices.
What you'll do
- Assist with AWS security assessments to identify misconfigurations, operational risks, and compliance gaps
- Support delivery teams by preparing documentation and client deliverables under senior consultant guidance
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and discovery sessions to develop consulting skills
- Help configure AWS security tools including IAM policies, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Config
- Develop security roadmaps, gap analyses, and architecture diagrams for client deliverables
- Contribute to internal methodologies, templates, and reusable assessment frameworks
