About this role

GuidePoint Security seeks a Microsoft-focused security engineer to deliver hands-on cloud security engagements for enterprise clients. You'll design and implement identity solutions using Entra ID, data protection via Purview, and supporting Intune and Defender XDR technologies, working independently on billable client projects across varied industries.

What you'll do

  • Design and deploy Microsoft Entra ID identity architecture, hybrid sync, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance (PIM, RBAC, access reviews)
  • Implement Purview data security solutions including sensitivity labels, DLP policies, retention rules, and data classification across Microsoft 365
  • Configure Intune device compliance, profiles, and app deployments; support Defender for Endpoint and XDR across cloud and hybrid environments
  • Investigate identity risks using Entra ID Protection and logs; remediate security issues and drive hybrid identity hygiene improvements
  • Manage technical delivery independently with ~80% billable utilization while communicating with architects and clients
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and practice development between client engagements
