About this role

Hadrian seeks a Build Engineer for Special Projects to design and deploy manufacturing systems and automation solutions that translate customer requirements into scalable factory processes. You'll collaborate across engineering disciplines to optimize production capabilities while applying design-for-manufacturability principles to accelerate aerospace and defense manufacturing.

What you'll do

  • Lead development and deployment of first-generation manufacturing systems and automation tools from concept through production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, controls, software, and robotics on process improvements
  • Provide early manufacturability feedback to design teams and support iterative product development cycles
  • Apply DFM principles to ensure production efficiency, cost effectiveness, and scalability
  • Troubleshoot equipment and optimize uptime, quality, and process efficiency
  • Identify and deploy automation opportunities guided by ROI and technical evaluation
