About this role

Hadrian seeks a Construction Field Engineer specializing in MEP systems to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation and rehabilitation at an industrial manufacturing facility in Cherokee, AL. You'll serve as the on-site technical expert, coordinating with contractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects meet schedule, specifications, and quality standards while supporting advanced manufacturing operations.

What you'll do

  • Track MEP construction schedule progress, milestones, and critical-path activities through weekly field walks and coordination meetings
  • Review and coordinate RFIs and submittals for technical completeness, constructability, and schedule impact; maintain logs and drive timely resolution
  • Verify construction compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards; participate in inspections and testing
  • Identify and resolve design, material, equipment, manpower, and access constraints affecting upcoming work
  • Support three- and six-week look-ahead planning and develop recovery plans when activities fall behind
  • Validate contractor-reported progress against actual installed work and document redline changes for as-built conversion
