About this role
Hadrian seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with deep CNC expertise to lead machining process development and qualification for aerospace and defense parts at their Torrance facility. You'll own process strategy from CAM through production validation, drive equipment selection and factory bring-up, and apply data-driven rigor to complex titanium and Inconel machining in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end CNC machining process development including CAM strategy, cutting parameters, workholding, and in-process probing for aerospace parts
- Qualify processes to production using first-article builds, capability studies (Cp/Cpk), SPC, and DOE-driven optimization
- Serve as CNC subject-matter expert for capital equipment selection, vendor evaluation, and factory acceptance testing
- Support factory development team through equipment installation, commissioning, and machine bring-up
- Provide Design for Machinability feedback and drive cycle-time and cost reduction
- Apply statistical rigor (SPC, DOE, capability analysis) to validate and optimize machining processes
