Okta Engineer

About this role

Hadrian seeks an experienced IAM Engineer to own and evolve their Okta environment, managing the complete identity lifecycle from HRIS-driven provisioning to Terraform-managed configuration and Workflows automation. This role bridges security, infrastructure, and developer experience, supporting rapid manufacturing expansion and CMMC Level 2 compliance requirements.

What you'll do

• Own Okta service end-to-end across the organization
• Manage all Okta configuration through Terraform using GitOps practices
• Configure and maintain HRIS-as-master-of-record provisioning with Rippling or comparable systems
• Build and maintain Okta Workflows for access request routing, access reviews, onboarding, and offboarding automation
• Support CMMC Level 2 compliance requirements
• Develop API-based automation using Okta Management SDK and REST APIs

• Okta platform administration and configuration (4+ years)
• Terraform and infrastructure-as-code for Okta
• Okta Workflows and lifecycle automation
• HRIS integration (Rippling preferred)
• Python or JavaScript/Node.js scripting with Okta APIs
• SAML 2.0, OIDC/OAuth 2.0, SCIM, and modern MFA protocols
• Identity security concepts (Zero Trust, least privilege, Conditional Access, SoD)
• Okta Universal Sync
