Quality Compliance Engineer, SUBSAFE
About this role
Own Hadrian's SUBSAFE and Material Level I compliance program, managing all processes, documentation, and controls for submarine-safety material procurement through delivery. You'll serve as the single point of accountability for compliance readiness, audit posture, and customer requirements across our rapidly scaling manufacturing operations.
What you'll do
- Manage Material Level I/SUBSAFE material controls including procurement, receipt inspection, identification, storage, and disposition per NAVSEA standards
- Establish and audit Objective Quality Evidence packages ensuring complete documentation of chemical, mechanical, and performance test data before release
- Define certification boundaries and ensure proper controls, documentation, and personnel qualifications are applied to each part
- Author and maintain SUBSAFE procedures integrated with AS9100D quality management system
- Control non-conforming material, drive root-cause analysis, and manage escalations to Central Quality and customers
- Prepare for and support NAVSEA/customer audits and qualification processes; conduct internal SUBSAFE audits
