About this role

Hadrian seeks a senior Robotics Software Engineer to lead the technical direction of the Perception team within its Autonomous Factory Systems organization. You'll architect the full perception pipeline—from sensor fusion to scene understanding—that enables autonomous factories to sense and act reliably in demanding manufacturing environments.

What you'll do

  • Define and drive the multi-year technical roadmap for the Perception team, aligned with broader Autonomous Factory Systems strategy
  • Lead architecture of the perception pipeline including object detection, tracking, segmentation, pose estimation, and scene understanding
  • Design integration interfaces between perception and motion planning, manipulation, control, and simulation systems
  • Drive sensor fusion strategy across LiDAR, structured light, RGB, and depth cameras in collaboration with hardware teams
  • Establish rigorous practices for data collection, model training, evaluation, and deployment across simulation and real-world environments
  • Lead hiring and mentoring efforts while raising technical standards across the team

What they're looking for

  • 3D computer vision and point cloud processing
  • Depth estimation, stereo vision, and structured light systems
  • Machine learning model architecture and production deployment
  • C++ and Python development for production systems
  • Real-time perception systems under latency constraints
  • LiDAR-based algorithms and sensor fusion
  • Technical leadership and architectural design
  • Manufacturing or applied robotics domain experience

Likely interview questions

  • Walk us through a challenging 3D perception problem you solved in production; what tradeoffs did you make between accuracy, latency, and compute?
  • How have you approached sensor fusion decisions in past projects, and what would your strategy be for combining LiDAR, structured light, and RGB in a manufacturing setting?
