About this role

Join Handshake's four-person iOS team as the first Engineer I, owning features end-to-end for an app used by nearly one million students weekly. You'll build in Swift/SwiftUI with mentorship from four senior engineers, shipping on a weekly cadence to help students discover jobs and connect with employers.

What you'll do

  • Own iOS features from concept through App Store launch, including product discussions, development, testing, and iteration
  • Build view models, integrate GraphQL/REST services, and ship UI components using the internal design system
  • Write unit tests and contribute to acceptance test coverage for shipped features
  • Work on high-visibility surfaces like job discovery, career events, and student profiles during peak seasons
  • Participate in weekly release train with feature flags and staged rollouts
  • Help develop AI-powered experiences and use AI tools in daily engineering workflow
