About this role
Stripe is seeking a Software Engineer for their Sending team to design and maintain payment infrastructure systems using Ruby and Java. You'll architect APIs, integrate with banking partners, and own the complete development lifecycle for payout methods and payment systems at scale.
What you'll do
- Architect and maintain robust APIs and services for payment infrastructure using Ruby and Java
- Act as domain expert on payout methods and payment rails in US/UK markets
- Design and implement secure systems handling sensitive financial data
- Lead technical projects from API design through Dashboard UI changes across the full stack
- Engineer banking partner integrations to launch new payout methods and markets
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve production incidents
