Harbinger Motors Inc.
Systems Engineer, TeleOps
About this role
Harbinger seeks a Systems Engineer to design and integrate ADAS, teleoperation, and EV platform architectures for military and commercial vehicles. You'll own the full systems engineering lifecycle—from requirements and safety analysis through validation—bridging autonomous perception, remote control, and high-voltage powertrains.
What you'll do
- Define high-level requirements and use cases for ADAS features on military and teleoperated vehicles
- Develop logical and physical system architectures for sensors, controllers, and physical subsystems
- Design low-latency teleoperation pipelines with video streaming, remote steering/throttling, and operator interfaces
- Establish fail-safe and fail-operational fallback modes for teleoperation under signal degradation and network latency
- Lead Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity analysis and documentation
- Create Design Verification Plans (DVP&R), oversee SIL/HIL/track testing, and analyze test data for calibration
What they're looking for
- Automotive systems engineering (5+ years)
- ISO 26262 Functional Safety
- Matlab/Simulink control logic
- ADAS and teleoperated/unmanned ground vehicle standards
- Systems architecture and requirements management
- Problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration
- Vehicle-level validation and testing
- Cybersecurity principles for automotive systems
