About this role

Harbinger seeks a Battery Test Engineer to validate and characterize the Auxiliary Power System battery pack's electrical and thermal performance. You'll develop test software, design validation procedures, and work cross-functionally with design, BMS, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet specifications before production release.

What you'll do

  • Develop and automate test software using LabVIEW and/or CANalyzer for battery pack validation
  • Collaborate with design, BMS, and system engineers to characterize battery and system performance
  • Specify requirements for Design Validation Plan (DVP) procedures including instrumentation and data acquisition methods
  • Author and execute test cases to confirm performance against defined requirements
  • Support BMS software development by providing data analysis to validate performance targets
  • Document test results and support issue resolution with clear technical documentation

  • LabVIEW or CANalyzer software development
  • High-voltage lab experience and hands-on instrumentation (thermocouples, pressure transducers, oscilloscopes)
  • Battery technology and AC/DC electrical fundamentals
  • Power conversion and power electronics knowledge
  • Python or Matlab for data analysis
  • Technical writing and documentation
  • Test procedure design and validation methodologies
  • Hand tools, wiring fabrication, and test equipment debugging
