About this role
Harbinger seeks an experienced Chassis Engineer to lead suspension system design for next-generation medium-duty electric vehicles. You will oversee the complete product lifecycle—from architecture and benchmarking through production validation—ensuring durability and performance for EV vans and pickup trucks with battery-integrated packaging.
What you'll do
- Define mechanical suspension architecture for front and rear axles, integrating with electric drivetrains
- Develop suspension components from concept through fully manufacturable designs with detailed packaging and layout
- Conduct competitive benchmarking of medium-duty commercial suspension systems and EV standards
- Create component specifications and supplier requirements based on vehicle-level performance targets
- Develop and execute Design Validation Plans with comprehensive testing and safety reporting
- Partner with suppliers through Design for Manufacturing and oversee part delivery and production milestones

- Electric or hybrid vehicle suspension experience with EV load-path understanding
- Expert CATIA v5/v6 proficiency for kinematics and clearance analysis
- Forging and casting design for production launches

- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and supplier management
- Technical documentation and engineering drawings
