About this role

Harbinger, a commercial EV innovator, seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and validate electrical architectures for medium-duty electric vehicles. You'll own the full engineering lifecycle from concept through production, collaborating across mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams on cutting-edge EV platforms.

What you'll do

  • Design and document vehicle electrical architectures, power distribution, and communication networks
  • Source and integrate electrical components and wiring harnesses with suppliers
  • Create test plans and execute validation for subsystems to ensure reliability and manufacturability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle-level electrical issues across cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams on system integration
  • Maintain technical documentation of designs, test results, and requirements

  • Automotive electrical systems (EV/hybrid focus preferred)
  • Power electronics and vehicle charging technologies
  • Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
  • ISO 26262, FMVSS, and EMC/EMI compliance standards
  • MATLAB/Simulink modeling
  • Capital tools (preferred)
