Broadcast Engineer
About this role
Harvey seeks a Broadcast Engineer to design and operate a world-class internal media production capability, managing studio infrastructure, IP signal delivery, and live execution of high-visibility events. You'll split time between running shows and building the scalable platform they run on, partnering across IT, facilities, brand, and communications.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain studio spaces, control rooms, and IP signal fabric for video and audio infrastructure
- Architect Dante audio and NDI video workflows with proper clocking, multicast, VLAN design, and QoS management
- Own technical execution for all-hands, executive broadcasts, customer events, and launches from rehearsal through post-show review
- Establish and maintain color and audio standards across the production chain, including camera matching, LUT management, and loudness normalization
- Diagnose and resolve signal-flow, network, sync, and device faults under live conditions and document improvements
- Evaluate, integrate, and manage new production systems and vendor partnerships through specification and acceptance testing

- Dante audio networking (clock hierarchy, PTP, multicast, IGMP, QoS)
- NDI video workflows and IP transport design
- Video and audio signal flow (SDI, HDMI, embedding, sync, genlock, gain structure)
- Color science and grading (color spaces, gamma, log formats, LUT management, monitor calibration)
- Live event technical execution and incident response under pressure
- Production switchers, digital audio consoles, and DSP platforms (Q-SYS, Yamaha)
- Network fundamentals (VLAN design, switch configuration, bandwidth budgeting)
- Documentation and technical communication to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
