Legal Engineer (Law Firm, Corporate)

About this role

Harvey seeks an experienced corporate lawyer to serve as a Legal Engineer, bridging customer needs with product development for an AI-powered legal services platform. You'll work directly with corporate legal teams to uncover pain points, demonstrate AI solutions, and guide product strategy while collaborating across sales, product, and engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Conduct discovery with corporate lawyers at current and prospective customers to identify workflow challenges and recommend Harvey solutions
• Translate customer feedback and legal insights into actionable product direction for the development team
• Lead tailored product demonstrations and develop use cases that reflect real corporate legal workflows
• Partner with product, sales, and marketing teams to shape the roadmap and ensure customer adoption
• Establish credibility with legal professionals at all levels through executive presence and relationship building
• Continuously refine how new capabilities are introduced to ensure they resonate with corporate legal practices

What they're looking for

• JD or equivalent legal qualification
• 3+ years transactional legal experience (M&A, private equity, capital markets, finance, fund formation, banking, real estate)
• Deep understanding of corporate legal workflows and challenges
• Executive presence and credibility with legal professionals
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
• Curiosity about AI's potential in legal services
• Solutions-oriented, action-biased mindset
• Client-facing and cross-functional collaboration experience
