Havoc AI
Data and ML Infrastructure Engineer
About this role
Havoc is seeking a Data & ML Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate scalable data pipelines that ingest, organize, and curate multimodal operational data—including video, imagery, telemetry, and sensor streams—into ML-ready datasets for autonomous systems development and evaluation.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain data infrastructure for ingestion, storage, indexing, metadata management, and lifecycle management of video, imagery, telemetry, and sensor data
- Develop scalable ETL pipelines that transform raw operational data into curated, reproducible datasets for ML training, evaluation, and debugging
- Design dataset curation workflows including cleaning, labeling, validation, versioning, and multimodal synchronization across sensors
- Implement automated data quality checks for missing streams, corruption, synchronization issues, and pipeline failures with monitoring and observability
- Build self-service tools enabling engineers to discover, access, analyze, and retrieve data across platforms, missions, and operating conditions
- Partner with Autonomy, Perception, and Field Operations teams to identify high-value data and translate requirements into scalable data capabilities
What they're looking for
- Data pipeline design and ETL development
- Large-scale data infrastructure and storage systems (databases, data lakes, object storage)
- Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data processing
- Data quality and validation frameworks
- Metadata management and data cataloging
- Python or similar languages for data processing
- Distributed systems and scalability principles
- ML dataset preparation and versioning
