Software Engineer I/II - Scientific Computing
About this role
Iambic Therapeutics is hiring a Software Engineer to build Python applications and cloud workflows supporting computational chemists in drug discovery. You'll design and maintain scientific software tools, orchestrate workloads on AWS and serverless platforms, and collaborate closely with researchers to translate their needs into reliable production systems.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain Python applications, APIs, and command-line tools for computational chemistry workflows
- Design and develop reliable orchestration systems for drug discovery workloads on AWS, Modal, and Lambda
- Partner with computational chemists and ML researchers to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Implement monitoring, recovery, and integration with shared data and compute services
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to scientific users
- Contribute to testing, code review, deployment, and production support
