Join a dynamic team operating a mission-critical data center campus in Chicago. This hands-on role involves maintaining live infrastructure, troubleshooting advanced power and cooling systems, and supporting the commissioning of new facilities while ensuring 24/7 reliability.
What you'll do
- Operate and maintain live data center environments, including equipment inspections, alarm response, and incident management
- Troubleshoot cooling, power, controls, and monitoring issues across cabinet, pod, and facility levels
- Support liquid cooling infrastructure including CDUs, RDHx units, filter replacements, and leak response
- Monitor operations through BMS and monitoring tools, investigate abnormalities, and escalate with technical context
- Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance, supervise critical work, and oversee equipment return to service
- Serve as primary liaison with data center providers and coordinate vendor work on site

- Data center operations and maintenance (5+ years hands-on)
- MEP systems (switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, fire protection)
- Direct liquid cooling systems (CDUs, RDHx units, valves, hoses, filters)
- Cooling and electrical principles including redundancy and containment
- BMS and EPMS monitoring tools for alarm investigation and diagnostics
- SOP/EOP/MOP development and execution
- Problem-solving and technical communication
- Physical capability (lifting up to 50 lbs)
