About this role
Join a mission-critical data center operations team in Austin supporting live infrastructure while new facilities are constructed and commissioned. This hands-on role manages complex power, cooling, and monitoring systems across a rapidly scaling campus, requiring deep expertise in MEP systems and direct liquid cooling technology.
What you'll do
- Operate and maintain live data center environments with equipment inspections, alarm response, and incident management
- Troubleshoot cooling, power, controls, and monitoring issues at multiple facility levels
- Maintain and support CDUs, RDHx units, and direct liquid cooling infrastructure including filter replacement and leak response
- Monitor operations via BMS and monitoring tools, investigate abnormalities, and escalate issues with technical context
- Plan and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance while supervising critical work and vendor activities
- Support construction and commissioning of new data halls including site walks, drawing review, test witnessing, and operations handoff

- Mission-critical data center operations and maintenance (5+ years)
- MEP systems: switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, fire protection, BMS/EPMS
- Direct liquid cooling systems: CDUs, RDHx units, valves, hoses, filters, and controls
- Data center cooling and electrical principles including redundancy and containment
- BMS and monitoring tools for alarm investigation and diagnostics
- SOP, EOP, and MOP documentation and execution
- Vendor and contractor coordination
- Problem-solving and technical communication
