About this role

K2 is seeking a Mechanisms Manufacturing Engineer to drive the manufacturability and production scaling of their cutting-edge satellite technologies. You'll partner with engineering teams to develop innovative manufacturing processes for complex electromechanical assemblies, building prototypes and transitioning them to high-rate production. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing company building the next generation of space platforms.

What you'll do

  • Provide DFX guidance to design teams for improved manufacturability.
  • Develop manufacturing systems for spacecraft mechanisms and electromechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Create custom tools and processes, including MES software integration.
  • Build test articles and support qualification test campaigns.
  • Develop efficient production flows for satellite subassemblies.
  • Conduct R&D of novel manufacturing technologies.
