R&D Lab Engineer (Appliance Testing Lab)

About this role

LG Electronics seeks an R&D Lab Engineer to support new home appliance product development and testing in Buffalo Grove, IL. You'll conduct laboratory analysis, evaluate product performance using modern testing methodologies, and provide quantitative engineering insights to drive innovation in LG's appliance line.

What you'll do

• Conduct performance testing and statistical analysis on new LG appliance products to support development decisions
• Design and prototype product improvements using CAD software and engineering analysis tools
• Create and manage internal testing protocols and benchmarking plans for new products and competitor analysis
• Develop custom testing methods based on consumer usage data and industry standards (AHAM/DOE)
• Program automated data analysis systems and visual tools to streamline reporting and reduce manual effort
• Communicate test results and engineering insights with R&D and manufacturing teams across regions
