Quality Engineer
About this role
LVT seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure production performance and reliability at its Spanish Fork manufacturing facility. You'll investigate quality issues, optimize automated test systems, and drive continuous improvement across electromechanical assemblies while collaborating with Manufacturing and Hardware Engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Perform root-cause analysis on component failures using methodologies like 8D and 5-Why to resolve Corrective Action Reports
- Design and deploy automated test fixtures and equipment with basic scripting or PLC integration
- Support PFMEA documentation and establish testing protocols with clear acceptance criteria
- Track yield and defect metrics through automated data collection, creating actionable reports for leadership
- Identify production bottlenecks and optimize testing procedures to improve first-pass yield
- Ensure manufacturing compliance with ISO 9001 standards and customer specifications
