About this role

Join Lucid's Interior Components and Systems engineering team as a Design Release Engineer to develop luxury interior trim solutions for electric vehicles. You'll manage supplier collaboration, conduct design trials, and track testing from concept through production launch, working across a cross-functional team in a fast-paced automotive environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead interior components and systems development for hard trim, soft trim, and headliners
  • Collaborate with interior trim suppliers on technical excellence, trials (NPI and tier-to-tier), and on-time delivery
  • Create 2D/3D concept drawings, packaging layouts, and DFM studies using CAD software
  • Coordinate with marketing, design, and vehicle engineering teams on packaging, release, and vehicle launch
  • Analyze testing results and cost breakdowns to implement value engineering solutions
  • Support manufacturing processes including wrapping, injection molding, painting, and compression molding

  • CAD proficiency (CATIA V5/V6 preferred) for 2D/3D drawings and DFM studies
