Hardware Engineer, Low-Voltage ECUs

About this role

Lucid is seeking a Hardware Engineer to design and validate low-voltage electronic control units (ECUs) for vehicle and ADAS applications. You will own circuit design through production, collaborating across software, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, reliable automotive electronics.

What you'll do

• Design and release analog, digital, power, interface, and protection circuits for low-voltage ECUs
• Complete design calculations, simulations, schematic reviews, and tolerance analyses with supporting characterization evidence
• Define and execute prototype validation testing, analyze results, and resolve discrepancies against requirements
• Maintain DFMEA and DVP&R documentation; address EMC, thermal, reliability, and manufacturability risks
• Support suppliers, contract manufacturers, and production teams in resolving board and component issues using root-cause analysis
• Coordinate cross-functional interfaces with Systems, Software, Mechanical, ADAS, Validation, Quality, and Supply Chain

• Oscilloscope, DMM, and bench-level troubleshooting
• CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication interfaces
• EMC design and environmental validation
• ECAD tools (Cadence, Altium, or Mentor)
• Automotive ECU or ADAS embedded-hardware experience
