About this role

Lucid seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to own equipment and tooling projects across the full lifecycle—from strategy and supplier alignment through factory acceptance, installation, commissioning, and operational handoff for General Assembly production systems. This role delivers safe, validated, production-ready equipment and processes that support Lucid's EV manufacturing scale and launch readiness.

What you'll do

  • Define equipment scopes, technical specifications, and RFQ packages aligned with safety, quality, cycle time, and cost requirements
  • Evaluate supplier proposals, lead technical clarification, and support selection and purchase-order execution
  • Lead equipment projects from design approval through build, Factory Acceptance Testing, installation, commissioning, and final acceptance
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and escalation paths to keep launches on track
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Product Design, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to resolve technical and launch issues
  • Define acceptance criteria for safety, ergonomics, quality, and throughput; deliver validated equipment, documentation, and lessons learned to Operations
