About this role
Lucid is seeking a Mass Engineer II to lead mass strategy and optimization across their vehicle portfolio in Newark, CA. You'll balance technical, cost, manufacturing, and performance requirements while driving data-driven solutions and cross-functional collaboration within the Vehicle Efficiency Engineering team.
What you'll do
- Lead mass strategy activities including target setting, forecasting, benchmarking, and optimization across vehicle programs
- Develop and deploy data-driven tools, dashboards, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows to improve engineering efficiency and decision-making
- Serve as primary mass engineering point of contact across Vehicle Engineering, balancing competing technical and cost requirements
- Drive vehicle-level optimization from concept development through production launch
- Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, testing, and validation teams on efficiency and performance attributes
- Influence key decisions to deliver efficient vehicles meeting customer expectations and regulatory requirements
