About this role
Lucid is hiring a Test Engineer for Power Electronics Test & Validation to execute component and system-level verification of power electronics hardware including chargers, converters, and inverters. You'll design and build test benches, develop DVP&Rs, perform hands-on testing with lab equipment, and collaborate across teams to support power electronics validation for electric vehicles.
What you'll do
- Execute component and system-level verification and validation testing for power electronics products, ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards
- Develop, execute, and maintain DVP&Rs including drafting test cases, tracking coverage, and reporting results against acceptance criteria
- Design test cell layouts and build test benches with instrumentation, wiring, harnesses, and data acquisition systems
- Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting using battery simulators, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal chambers, and DAQ systems
- Analyze test data, generate reports with plots and metrics, and support root-cause investigation of failures
- Collaborate with design, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams on issue resolution and design iterations
