About this role
Lumos seeks an OSP Construction Project Engineer to oversee fiber network expansion in the Port Arthur, TX area. You'll manage multiple construction projects from start to finish, coordinate contractors, ensure compliance with safety standards, and resolve field challenges while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
What you'll do
- Oversee multiple OSP fiber construction projects from readiness through closeout
- Manage contractor and subcontractor performance with accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and budget
- Inspect jobsites to ensure compliance with OSHA, NESC, and construction standards
- Track production, schedules, costs, and risks while providing stakeholder updates
- Coordinate permitting, materials, utilities, and municipal dependencies
- Resolve field obstacles and community concerns with sound judgment
