OSP Project Engineer
About this role
Lumos seeks an experienced OSP Project Engineer to design and oversee fiber optic infrastructure deployment across overhead and underground networks. You'll optimize routing for new construction projects, manage vendor coordination, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while supporting rapid network expansion.
What you'll do
- Create CAD drawings and maps for construction of new fiber optic lines, cables, and conduits
- Select cost-effective routes and equipment configurations for network expansion projects
- Provide real-time project direction to team members and track progress against timelines and contractual obligations
- Communicate and escalate technical, contractual, or scheduling risks that could impact project delivery
- Oversee and guide design-permitting vendors to ensure alignment with business and project requirements
- Collaborate with Sales to develop customized design solutions for potential customers
