Software Engineer II - Vehicle Communication (C++)
About this role
Latitude AI seeks a Software Engineer II to develop vehicle communication infrastructure for autonomous driving systems. You'll design and implement C++ messaging layers, handle serialization/deserialization, and ensure reliable vehicle interface integration across their zonal architecture.
What you'll do
- Integrate vehicle interface definitions through schema generation into C++ publishers and subscribers
- Write maintainable code for message encoding/decoding, validation, and error handling
- Debug cross-boundary integration issues from network capture through message consumption
- Develop unit and bench-level tests for message correctness and edge cases
- Improve tooling and developer workflows for interface schema changes
- Enforce safety and security checks on vehicle message transmission and receipt
