Electrical Engineer - ATE (Contractor)
About this role
Lunar Energy seeks an Electrical Engineer for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) design on a contract basis. You'll develop tester interface boards and validation systems for power electronics products, working hands-on with simulation, hardware bring-up, and cross-functional teams to advance clean energy storage solutions.
What you'll do
- Design tester interface boards for IoT devices, power electronics, DC/DC converters, and inverters
- Conduct hardware bring-up and system testing to validate functionality and optimize performance
- Create efficient test and validation mechanisms for PCBAs and complete systems, including custom test cards
- Collaborate with mechanical and thermal teams on bed-of-nails fixtures and manufacturing readiness
- Debug and troubleshoot circuits at the component level, supporting high-voltage and high-current testing
- Manage electrical design ownership from concept through prototype, validation, and production

- Altium Designer schematic capture and PCB layout
- Lab instrumentation: oscilloscopes, impedance analyzers, sources and loads
- High-voltage and high-current circuit design and testing
- Soldering, rework, and PCB prototyping techniques
- Analog and mixed-signal circuit design with noise analysis
- Microcontroller programming and embedded control
- Grounding techniques and signal integrity
