About this role

Mach Industries seeks a Metrology Engineer to establish and enhance dimensional inspection capabilities for defense autonomous platforms. You'll operate CMMs and 3D scanning systems, develop measurement plans, and create inspection frameworks that support engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality decisions across the organization.

What you'll do

  • Perform dimensional inspections using CMMs, portable measurement systems, and 3D scanning equipment on development, production, and supplier hardware
  • Create inspection programs, measurement plans, and reports from engineering drawings, models, and GD&T requirements using metrology software
  • Select appropriate measurement tools and methods based on feature type, tolerance, accessibility, and required uncertainty
  • Develop and maintain metrology manual defining measurement methods, equipment selection guidance, and inspection practices
  • Conduct measurement system analysis including Gage R&R, repeatability, reproducibility, and method validation
  • Support source, receiving, in-process, and first-article inspections while identifying measurement limitations and data-quality concerns
