About this role
Join a data center operations team in Dallas as a Systems Operations Engineer responsible for managing infrastructure, monitoring systems, and ensuring high availability of critical IT environments. You'll work hands-on with server hardware, virtualization platforms, and network infrastructure while collaborating with a technical team to keep operations running smoothly.
What you'll do
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure including servers, storage systems, and network equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches on operating systems and virtualization platforms
- Respond to alerts and troubleshoot system issues to minimize downtime
- Document infrastructure configurations and maintain runbooks for operational procedures
- Assist with capacity planning and hardware provisioning for growing infrastructure needs
- Collaborate with security and networking teams on compliance and infrastructure improvements

- Linux and/or Windows server administration
- Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM)
- Monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK, Nagios, or similar)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Bash or PowerShell scripting
- Incident response and troubleshooting
- Hardware troubleshooting and IPMI/remote management
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tools
