Fullstack Software Engineer, Agent Platform
About this role
Mercor seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer to own their Agent Platform—the internal and external system for building, running, and showcasing AI agents. You'll build React frontends and backend services that serve hundreds of internal users and enterprise clients, balancing engineering rigor with polished, demo-ready interfaces.
What you'll do
- Own the agent platform end-to-end: React frontends, backend APIs, and services orchestrating agents and integrations
- Enable internal users and enterprise clients by shipping features, reliability, and polish for daily use and live demos
- Build foundational infrastructure that allows other teams to deploy new agent use cases and configurations without rework
- Ship high-leverage product features that improve both internal productivity and customer-facing platform quality
- Translate ambiguous requirements into scoped technical solutions working closely with researchers, product, design, and operations
- Maintain and scale complex, high-throughput systems handling multi-tenant architectures and large data volumes

- JavaScript/TypeScript with React and Next.js
- Frontend architecture, state management, and design patterns
- Backend development in Python and/or Node.js
- Relational databases and REST API design
- Async task infrastructure and queuing systems
- Complex systems architecture and high-throughput pipeline design
- Product sense and UX empathy
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive projects end-to-end
