About this role

Mintlify seeks a backend engineer to build core systems powering a documentation platform serving 100M+ developers. You'll design APIs, content pipelines, and AI infrastructure while collaborating across the product and working on technically ambitious problems at a growing, well-funded startup.

What you'll do

  • Design and ship backend APIs and services for editor, dashboard, and customer documentation sites
  • Improve content ingestion, validation, transformation, and publishing pipelines serving thousands of repositories
  • Build search, retrieval, and agent infrastructure for AI-powered products
  • Enhance caching, queues, databases, and observability as the platform scales
  • Contribute to product strategy and engineering direction across the stack
  • Engage directly with customers to inform product and technical decisions
