About this role

Momentus seeks an Electrical Avionics Engineer to design, develop, and test flight-critical avionics systems for in-space transportation vehicles. You'll work across flight computers, power systems, sensors, and RF communications in a fast-paced aerospace environment, bringing 5–8 years of space electronics experience.

What you'll do

  • Design avionics units including flight computers, power converters, attitude sensors, cameras, and RF communication systems
  • Perform PCB schematic capture and layout using Altium Designer
  • Conduct detailed technical reviews of electronics designs and PCB layouts
  • Develop and execute test plans for flight qualification (TVAC, vibration, thermal, radiation, EMC/EMI)
  • Define spacecraft avionics architectures and associated budgets
  • Collaborate on high-performance, low-cost, low-mass system implementations
